Shades of Hope

Shades of Hope, 2022

Acrylic on stretched canvas,

120 × 135 cm (unframed)

From the series Shades of Hope

The Arabic letters spell hope, scattered across the painting, held among patterns and marks in black and white. Hope appears in fragments. Sometimes recognised immediately; sometimes we have to look for it. Touches of yellow offer another shade of that possibility.

Original painting on stretched canvas, unframed.
